A content plugin for Joomla 3 that combines article comments and a forum powered by the MUUT service, so a discussion can continue both under the article and on the forum.
JL MUUT is for sites that need both comments and a forum: comments on articles are collected in a MUUT forum, and the discussion continues in both places. Setup is simple and requires no special knowledge.
Features
- Works with Joomla articles (com_content) and Seblod.
- Multilingual sites: the plugin picks the language from the site locale.
- Categories can be excluded from output.
- Manual placement with the
{jlmuut}tag, and{jlmuut-off}to suppress output. - Joomla categories are mapped to MUUT forum categories: the setting takes pairs of "category IDs::forum category name", and other articles use the default forum category.
- Loading of jQuery and jQuery.noConflict mode can be switched on or off in the settings.
- Russian and English language files.
Installation and setup
- Sign up for the MUUT service.
- Install the plugin through the Joomla Extension Manager.
- Enter the MUUT forum ID in the plugin settings. The discussion block is added below every article automatically (the Autoadd option); with the option off, it appears where the
{jlmuut}tag is placed.
