Quantum Manager is a free file and media manager for Joomla. It is used to upload files to the site, process them and insert them into the article editor or into media fields. Calls to the standard Media Manager can be overridden so that Quantum opens instead; the package includes the Quantum Manager Media plugin for this. The manager is developed by Delo Design and NorrNext and released under the GPLv3 licence.

Architecture
The manager is built from self-contained parts: directory tree, file upload, file and folder view, action toolbar and image cropper. On the Joomla side each part is a JForm field, so the parts can be combined in custom forms built with JForm. The parts communicate through JavaScript events, which custom scripts can hook into to change how the manager behaves.
Compatibility and requirements
- Joomla 5 or Joomla 6 (version 3.3.0 requires Joomla 5.0 or later).
- PHP 8.2 or later.
- The jinterventionimage library (included in the package, no separate installation needed).
- Russian and English interface included in the package; translations into 16+ languages are available as separate language packs.
