A Joomla 4 and 5 module that displays the widget of a VK (VKontakte) group or public page. Visitors can join the community in one click without leaving the site.
JL VK Group displays the official widget of a VK community, either a group or a public page, on a Joomla site. Visitors see the community and can subscribe to it without leaving the site, which brings more of the site's audience into the community.

Installation and setup
- Install the module through the Joomla Extension Manager.
- Go to Modules, find JL VK Group and enable it.
- Enter the VK Group ID, digits only and without a minus sign. For an address like
vk.com/club17291036orvk.com/public17291036, it is the number aftercluborpublic. If the community uses a custom short address, look up its numeric ID with a third-party ID lookup service. - Set Width, Height, Display mode and the colours, then place the module in a template position.
FAQ
The widget is not displayed
Check the group ID, that openapi.js is loaded, and the width and height values. The module works with communities only; personal VK profiles are not supported.
How do I make the widget fill the full width?
Set the width to auto.
Colours are not applied
Make sure the selected colours are valid and are not overridden by the template CSS.
Do I need a VK Application ID?
Usually not. Use it only if the widget does not work without VK.init initialisation.
