Processing of JoomShopping product images during editing: the same proportions, conversion to the same format, removal of transparency, naming of files. The Intervention Image library is used.
Processes JoomShopping product images on the fly while editing a product: brings all images to the same proportions, converts them to one format, removes transparency and renames files. Uses the Intervention Image library; supports Joomla 3 (JoomShopping 4) and Joomla 4 (JoomShopping 5).
Image conversion settings
The plugin reuses the JoomShopping image size settings (JoomShopping → Settings → Images) including the saved image quality; the fill size and fill colour options are ignored, the fill colour is white.
- Make images square? When enabled, images are reduced to square proportions based on the largest side: the excess background is cut off, padding is added and filled with white. When disabled, sizes follow the JoomShopping settings — if both width and height are set the larger side is scaled to fit, a single value scales the other proportionally, and zero values keep the original size.
- Output file format — GIF, PNG, JPG or WEBP.
- Rename image files? File names are replaced with the product alias: "Phone Panasonic" becomes
phone-panasonic,phone-panasonic-1,phone-panasonic-2and so on for additional images.
