Processes JoomShopping product images on the fly while a product is edited: equal proportions, a single format (WEBP, for example), transparency removed, file names based on the product name.

WT On fly image handler brings JoomShopping product images to a consistent look at the moment the product is edited. Images get the same proportions and sizes, are saved in one format such as WEBP, lose transparency and can be renamed after the product. The processing is done by the Intervention Image PHP library.

Conversion settings

The plugin takes image sizes from the JoomShopping settings (JoomShopping → Settings → Images), along with the image quality set there. The fill size and colour change method settings are ignored; the fill colour is white by default.

Make images square?

Yes: the image is brought to a square based on its largest side; excess empty background is cut off, and the missing margins are added and filled with white.
No: sizes follow the JoomShopping settings, and excess areas are cut off. If both width and height are set, the larger side is changed to the set value and the smaller side proportionally. If only one value is set, the other side changes proportionally. If both are 0, the image is simply saved in the chosen format without resizing.

Output file format: WEBP, AVIF, JPG, GIF or PNG.

Rename image files? The file name is changed to the product name following the Joomla alias rules: spaces become hyphens. When there are several images, a numeric index is added. For example, for a product called "Phone Panasonic" the files are named phone-panasonic, phone-panasonic-1, phone-panasonic-2 and so on.
