A free Gantry 5 theme by Tiger12 with ready particles such as a carousel, content tabs and content cubes, layout presets and many module positions. Needs the Gantry 5 framework. Joomla 5 and 6.
Helium is the advanced starter theme of the Gantry 5 framework, maintained by Tiger12, which took over Gantry from RocketTheme. It works as a base for a general-purpose site or a business showcase, which is what the demo home page shows. The same theme is also released for WordPress and Grav.

Installation
- Install the Gantry 5 framework package of the same version.
- Install the theme archive via Extensions → Install and set it as the default template.
The nightly builds linked from the Gantry site are not meant for production.
Terms
Free with no account: the archive is published as a GitHub release asset. The theme is licensed under GPLv2; the framework itself is dual-licensed MIT and GPLv2+.
Compatibility and requirements
- Joomla 5 and 6. Joomla 6 support arrived in 5.6.2 (June 2026), and 5.6.3 and 5.6.4 continued Joomla 6 compatibility fixes. Joomla 4 has not been supported since the 5.5 line.
- PHP 8.1 to 8.4.
- Gantry 5 framework.
- The vendor demo runs on Grav, not on Joomla.
