Alexandria Book Library is a component by Federica Ugolotti for keeping a book catalogue on a Joomla site. It fits a home collection as well as a school or town library that wants a public online catalogue. The author distributes it free of charge as open source.
Features
- Book record: title and subtitle, category, cover image, publication year, library, catalogue number, publisher, several authors, price, page count, ISBN, review, a link and search engine metadata.
- Separate lists of authors (photo, biography), publishers, places of publication and libraries.
- Categories of any depth with access permissions, plus its own tags.
- Tracking of books lent to readers.
- An import and export tool for the catalogue.
- Menu item views: books by one author, list of authors, single book, all categories, one category, tag list, books with a tag, and a catalogue search.
- The component can be attached to several menu items to present the same library from different angles.
Compatibility
