A free UIkit 3 Joomla template for news and content sites: built-in SEO, Open Graph, JSON-LD NewsArticle markup, WebP and srcset images, and 29 module positions including ad slots.
Wmarka is a UIkit 3 template for news and content sites by Webmarka Kazakhstan. It is built on its own code; Bootstrap and Font Awesome are disabled through the Web Asset Manager to avoid conflicts with UIkit. This card lists the latest stable version, 2.0.7. Version 3.0.0, reworked for Joomla 5 and 6, is published on GitHub as a pre-release, and most of the features below come from its release notes.
Features
- UIkit 3.25.x with Bootstrap and Font Awesome disabled.
- PSR-4 namespaced helper classes, assets managed through joomla.asset.json.
- Built-in SEO class: canonical URLs with pagination handling, Open Graph and Twitter Cards.
- JSON-LD markup: NewsArticle, Organization, Place, BreadcrumbList.
- WebP and srcset images through the JUImage library.
- Smart Search (com_finder) overrides in UIkit style (since 2.0.7).
- 29 module positions: off-canvas, slider, blocks a to k and an ad-top slot.

Fully free, GNU GPL v2 or later (stated in the manifest; the repository has no separate licence file).
Compatibility and requirements
- Joomla 5 and 6 according to the 3.0.0 notes ("fully adapted to Joomla 6 core"). The stable 2.0.7 was released before that rework.
- PHP 8.3 or newer (a 3.0.0 requirement).
- Image optimization needs the separate JUImage library.
- No update server, so updates are manual. There is no README, and the release notes are in Russian.
