A JoomShopping plugin for Joomla 3 that adds social network login and registration, powered by the SLogin component, to the store's login form, so customers can skip the registration form.
Registration is one of the steps where online store customers often abandon an order: faced with a long form, some visitors simply leave. Slogin for JoomShopping makes this step easier. Alongside the store's standard login form, it offers to register or log in with a social network account. Login and registration are handled by the SLogin (Social Login) component, and the plugin brings them into JoomShopping.
How it works
- A new customer creates an account on the site and is logged in with two clicks, then only needs to fill in the remaining delivery and contact fields.
- A returning customer logs in the same way, with two clicks and no username or password.
- Customers do not have to remember store credentials, which reduces drop-offs caused by forgotten passwords.
Installation and setup
- Back up the site.
- Install the SLogin component and its profile plugin and configure them until they work fully.
- Install the plugins from the package (there are two) through the Joomla Extension Manager, then publish and configure both.
The plugin integrates SLogin with JoomShopping, so both components must already be configured and working. Setting up SLogin and JoomShopping themselves is not part of the plugin.
