An integration plugin for SLogin and VirtueMart 3. Shoppers register and sign in to the online store with their social network accounts in two clicks, skipping the long registration form.
Registration is one of the main bottlenecks at checkout: some shoppers see a long sign-up form and abandon the purchase halfway. This plugin adds sign-in and registration through social network accounts to the VirtueMart login form, using the SLogin (Social Login) component.
How it works
- New customers create an account and sign in with two clicks, then fill in only the remaining fields needed for delivery and contact.
- Returning customers sign in to the store in two clicks as well, without entering a username or password.
Customers do not have to remember a separate username and password for the store, so fewer orders are lost to forgotten credentials.
Installation and setup
- Back up the site.
- Install the SLogin component and its profile plugin and configure them until they work fully.
- Install the integration plugin with the standard Joomla extension installer, then enable and configure it.
The plugin only connects SLogin and VirtueMart. Both components must already be configured and working; setting them up is not part of the plugin and is done by the site owner or as a separate paid service.
