A system plugin that replaces or fully removes the generator meta tag from Joomla pages, including RSS and Atom feeds, so the site does not advertise its CMS.
Out of the box Joomla prints a generator meta tag with the CMS name in the page source. ByeByeGenerator is a small system plugin by Michael Richey (RicheyWeb) that lets the administrator swap that tag for custom text or drop it altogether. It helps site owners who prefer not to tell bots and scanners which CMS the site runs on.
