Phoca Guestbook is a component by the Czech developer Jan Pavelka (the Phoca project) that adds a guestbook to a Joomla site. Visitors leave entries that are published on a dedicated page. The same component can serve as a contact form, sending each message by email to a selected user. It suits small organisation sites, personal pages and communities. Almost all of the JED description deals with spam, so the feature list here is short.

The author warns that no extension can stop spam on its own: server-level measures and regular moderation are needed as well, and a separate documentation article collects the recommendations.
