Kunena is a forum component developed by the Kunena Team community. It suits sites that need discussions, a user support board or a club community inside Joomla with a single visitor account. The project is open source, with a public help forum and documentation.

Compatibility
Current version 7.0.9, for which the developer names Joomla 5.3 or 5.4, as well as 6.0 or 6.1. JED also lists Joomla 3 and 4, which are served by older Kunena branches. Updated in JED on 10 September 2026.
