GMapFP is a component for a directory of places on Google Maps or OpenStreetMap, with addresses, photos, opening hours, categories and several map and list layouts.
GMapFP is a component by the developer Fabrice4821 for publishing places on a map. It was first built for the tourist office of Châteauneuf-sur-Loire to show sights, hotels and restaurants together with practical details about each. Today it fits any site that needs a map-based directory: store networks, branch offices, public facilities or association members.
Features
- Any number of places, organised in a category tree.
- Google Maps or OpenStreetMap, a choice of base layer and several OpenStreetMap layers.
- Initial centre and zoom, automatic fitting, optional navigation controls, mouse-wheel zoom and a metric or imperial scale.
- A place is positioned by dragging its marker; bundled markers are included and custom ones can be uploaded.
- Each entry holds a name, photo, address, region, country, phone, email, website, description, hours and prices, and a link to a Joomla article or an external page.
- Layouts include all places, one or several categories, map with entries, map only, entries only, an interactive list and a contact form.
- Responsive layouts and a separate CSS file for matching the template.
