A component for translating a Joomla site: articles, menus and modules are translated from the default language without creating a separate copy of each item per language.
Falang is developed by Stéphane Bouey (faboba.com) and started in 2012 as a fork of Joom!Fish. It takes a different route to multilingual content than the Joomla core: there is no need to copy every article and menu item and assign a language to each copy. The site is maintained in the default language, and translations of the fields are stored for every additional language. This works well for company sites and shops whose structure is the same in all languages.

- The free version has limitations and adds a backlink to faboba; the paid Basic and Standard versions remove it while keeping existing translations and settings.
