CDN for Joomla! by Regular Labs connects a site to a content delivery network. The plugin rewrites links to static files such as images, CSS and JavaScript, so browsers fetch them from CDN edge servers rather than from the hosting account. The gain is most visible for sites with visitors in several countries and for media-heavy pages: pages load sooner and the origin server has spare capacity for more traffic.
