Mailster turns Joomla into a discussion mailing list server: a message sent to a shared address goes out to every list member, and so do the replies, with no site login needed.
Mailster by Holger Brandt IT Solutions works like the Mailman or Listserv mailing list software. It fetches messages from a shared mailbox and forwards them to every list subscriber; members' replies are distributed to the group the same way. Clubs, associations and working groups can talk through their usual email client while the recipient list is maintained in Joomla. Newsletters are possible as well, though the main focus is two-way discussion.

Compatibility
JED lists Joomla 3, 4, 5 and 6; the catalogue tracks Joomla 4, 5 and 6. The current version is 2.0.0, which adds Joomla 6 support, last updated in JED on 28 June 2026. The free version has limits, for example 50 recipients per list; the commercial Essential, Business and Ultimate editions lift them.
