Astroid is a foundation for building Joomla templates: the page layout, menus, typography and styling are set up in a visual panel without editing code. The core is free under the GPL and may be used commercially. Astroid Pro, with extra widgets and effects, is sold separately.

Installation
- Download the framework zip from the GitHub releases page and install it via Extensions → Install.
- Since 3.x the framework installs as a library with no site template: also install the free starter template Three or one of the quickstart packages from the same release.

What does Astroid Pro add? Pro widgets, animations, cursor effects, dynamic content, advanced SCSS/CSS editing and premium templates. The layout builder, mega menu, typography and dark mode are part of the free core.
