Security extensions protect a Joomla site against break-ins, password guessing, spam sign-ups and malicious code. They suit any site, and especially sites with user registration or several administrators.

Securitycheck and Admin Tools cover the site with a firewall and maintenance tools, AdminExile hides the administrator login behind a secret key, and Brute Force Stop blocks an IP after failed login attempts. SpambotCheck checks registrations against blacklists, Antivirus Website Protection looks for malicious code in site files, and miniOrange OAuth Client and SAML SSO for Joomla add single sign-on through external providers.
