A content construction kit and app builder for Joomla: custom content types, fields, forms, multi-criteria search and drag-and-drop field layouts, all without core hacks.
SEBLOD, built by the Octopoos team, is a Content Construction Kit that has been around since 2008. It sits on top of Joomla and lets developers assemble directories, catalogues, member areas and other applications from their own content types and fields without modifying the core. It is aimed at developers and experienced site builders.
Features
- The free Core package bundles one component and one library, together with 98 plugins, 5 modules and 5 site templates, and ships with 561 fields, 15 content types and 6 list and search types as working examples.
- Ten managers, including App Folders for packaging reusable apps, Fields, List & Search Types, Templates, Sites for multi-site setups, Versions, and Sessions for import and export jobs.
- A content type can be attached to Joomla articles, categories, menu items, users or user groups, or keep data in its own free storage; Standard, Custom and JSON storage engines.
- Plugin types for fields, links, live values, display restrictions, typography and validation.
- The Workshop: fields are dragged into template positions separately for the admin form, the site form, the intro and the full view, and each placed field has its own conditions, access and validation.
- Search forms and result lists are built the same way.

- Joomla 5 and 6; version 6.0.0 targets Joomla 6.
