Antivirus Website Protection is a plugin by SafetyBis Ltd. (the SiteGuarding service) that searches Joomla site files for malicious code. It is most useful where templates and extensions came from dubious download sites rather than from their developers, since such copies often hide injected code. Scanning goes through the SiteGuarding.com API: the plugin sends data to the external service and receives the verdict back.
