A JoomlaWorks plugin that embeds video and audio in articles with a short tag: YouTube, Vimeo, SoundCloud and other services, plus mp4, webm and mp3 files from your own server.
AllVideos is a content plugin by JoomlaWorks that removes the need to paste player HTML by hand. You type a tag such as {youtube}ID{/youtube} or {mp4}filename{/mp4} into the text, and the plugin replaces it with a player. It works wherever a component triggers content plugins: Joomla articles, K2, VirtueMart, Kunena.
Features
- Third-party services: YouTube (videos, Shorts and playlists), Vimeo, Dailymotion, Facebook, Flickr, Mixcloud, SoundCloud, Twitch; the tag takes a full URL or just the ID.
- Self-hosted files: mp4, m4v, m4a, webm, ogg, mp3, wav, flac, plus avi and mkv containers, from the local or a remote server.
- Poster images for video and audio; for video a preview can be grabbed automatically from the frame at the fifth second.
- Random cover images for audio files from Unsplash, switched on in the settings.
- Muted background video.
- Size and autoplay are set right in the tag, separated by a pipe character.
- Three output layouts, Classic, Framed and Responsive; override them through an html/jw_allvideos folder in the template.
- Updates through the standard Joomla updater.
Compatibility
JED lists Joomla 4 and 5 (and Joomla 3); Joomla 6 support is not stated yet. Current version 7.0, updated in JED on 17 June 2025. Source code and changelog are public on GitHub.
