Проблема на половину решена.
После скачивания плагина профиля slogin с гитхаба и замены фалов + удаление всех пользователей Joomla + slogin = аватары появились.
Осталась только проблема аватаров ВКОНТАКТЕ - там аватар есть но он в виде собаки в очках у ВСЕХ пользователей.
