У нас много сетей, одни отдают большое изображение, другие нет. По этому везде запрашиваются маленькие изображения, чтобы на всех сетях было одинаково. Если хочется тонкой подстройки, то смотрите в плагине профиля функцию googleGetData() (вместо google своего провайдера), свойство $data->picture.
