SLogin (актуальной версии) используется в связке с JComments. Авторизация через slogin.info. При попытке залогиниться через любую соцсеть данные принимаются, после чего осуществляется редирект на главную - и всё. После возвращения к форме комментариев пользователь остаётся неавторизованным.
Проверено в разных браузерах и с разными соцсетями, с очисткой кэша и прочим шаманством.

P.S. Может ли редирект на главную быть как-то связан с тем, что у вас в настройках компонента указан
http(s)://YOUR_SITE.COM/option=com_slogin&task=check&plugin=service
а сервис slogin.info требует
http(s)://YOUR_SITE.COM/index.php?option=com_slogin&task=check&plugin=service

Нет это особой роли не играет.
Скорей уж что-то вмешывается в процесс авторизации.
Через модуль наш авторизация проходит нормально?

Нет, через модуль - всё то же самое. В настойках стоит "разрешать доступ со сторонних сайтов" (точную формулировку не помню).
Да, и ещё: нет разницы, подключать через slogin.info или напрямую - всё равно эффект тот же самый. Такое ощущение, что происходит какой-то редирект. В логах ошибок ничего нет. Разные браузеры, включая мобильные, очистка кэша сайта и браузеров, переустановка компонента - ничего не помогает.

Я уже всё отключил и удалил, на живом сайте не хочется иметь глючный компонент. В выходные попробую поднять тестовый сайт и поставить на чистовую. Отпишусь потом.

Поставил чистую Joomla + JComments + SLogin с доп. плагинами. На чистом сайте SLogin в виде модуля с авторизацией через slogin.info работает отлично, так что проблема не в нём.
Правда, так и не удалось заставить работать JComments в связке с SLogin, но там вообще ещё чуднее. При попытке открыть любую статью вылезает: Call to a member function display() on null
php 7.0, MySQL 5.6.

По поводу JComments и PHP7 ставьте этот форк github.com/exstreme/Jcomments-Recaptcha2 - он поддерживает рекапчу 2 и имеет ряд исправлений.

Спасибо, у меня именно эта версия JComments и установлена. Грешил на закидоны хостера, поэтому и решил потестировать на чистой Joomlе.

Дальше все по инструкции - в системе активировал плагин. В модулях включил. Захожу в созданное поле - есть стандартные вкладки, вкладки "Параметры фильтрации" нет.
